Keiko Fukuda Sensei passed away.

Fallecio la Sensei Keiko Fukuda.

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Keiko 

Fukuda Sensei passed away at about 2:30 PM today, 

Saturday, 2/9/13. 

Fukuda Sensei was 99 years of age.

Keiko Fukuda, the highest-ranked female judoka in

history, and the last surviving student of Kano 

Jigoro, founder of judo.

The World Judo Federation, WJF, had given the 

Fukuda Sensei 10th Dan Red Belt, in August 2012.

Con gran tristeza les informamos que la sensei Keiko

Fukuda falleció alrededor de las 2:30 horas de hoy, 

Sábado, 2/9/13. 

Fukuda Sensei tenía 99 años de edad.

Keiko Fukuda, la mujer judoka de más alto rango en

la historia y la última estudiante sobreviviente de 

Jigoro Kano, fundador del judo.

La World Judo Federation habia otorgado a la Sensei 

Fukuda el 10mo Dan, Cinturon Rojo, el pasado 

agosto 2012.
