Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- En lo que ha sido verdadera tradición la Confederación Dominicana de Judo, Condojudo, se unió con todos sus organismos de base, a la celebración del Dia Internacional de la Juventud.
Esta actividad nos es legada por la ONU y que dentro de las actividades tenemos la realización de caminatas, charlas sobre el origen del judo y su llegada a Republica Dominicana, competencias intramuros, clínicas de arbitraje, exámenes de grado y diferentes reconocimientos a atletas,
entrenadores, árbitros, dirigentes y personas ligadas a esta disciplina de origen japonés que fundo el maestro Jigoro Kano en 1882.

El Dia Internacional de la Juventud se celebra anualmente cada 12 de agosto desde el año 2000 ya que la Asamblea General de las Naciones Unidas suscribió la recomendación 54/120 aprobada por la Conferencia Mundial de Ministros responsables de la juventud en 1999

conjunto para que se movilice en apoyo de los jóvenes y escuche sus opiniones porque al brindar a los jóvenes los medios de dar forma a sus sueños crearemos un futuro mejor para todos.
"Nos sentimos sumamente orgullosos de compartir esta importante fecha de la juventud a nivel mundial con nuestros afiliados y de manera especial en la gran cantidad de jóvenes que han abrazado la filosofía en la practica del judo como una de las mas formativas para niños y adolescentes", así se expreso el licenciado José Rafael Suarez Morales, presidente de la Condojudo.

This activity is bequeathed to us by the UN and within the activities we have the realization of walks, talks about the origin of judo and its arrival in the Dominican Republic, intramural competitions, refereeing clinics, degree exams and different recognitions to athletes, coaches, referees, leaders and people linked to this discipline of Japanese origin that was founded by the master Jigoro Kano in 1882.

The International Youth Day is celebrated annually every August 12 since 2000 since the United Nations General Assembly signed the recommendation 54/120 approved by the World Conference of Ministers responsible for youth in 1999.
This 2024, UNESCO through its general director, Audrey Azoulay, said: "UNESCO calls on society as a whole to mobilize in support of young people and listen to their opinions because by giving young people the means to shape their dreams we will create a better future for all.
"We feel extremely proud to share this important date for youth worldwide with our members and especially with the large number of young people who have embraced the philosophy of judo practice as one of the most formative for children and adolescents," said José Rafael Suarez Morales, president of Condojudo.
