En la ocasión del 26 de agosto 2011 Suecia, España, Venezuela, República Dominicana, Panamá, Australia, Estados Unidos, Brasil y Chile, entre otros, les correspondió ser los países fundadores de esta nueva organización del judo mundial cuyos principios esenciales correspondieron a la difusión del Judo Tradicional como ya dijimos bajo el lema de Judo para Todos.Hoy día nos corresponde celebrar los trece años de la fundación de la World Judo Federation superando tiempos muy difíciles bajo ataques constantes a nuestros programas y ejecutorias por otras entidades de la disciplina que fundo en 1882 el gran filántropo japonés Jigoro Kano, 1860 – 1938.
CONDOJUDO ON THE 13TH WORLD DAY OF THE DISCIPLINE
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- The celebration of this XIII World Judo Day is an activity institutionalized by the World Judo Federation (WJF) since 2012 as one of the innovations imparted by the organization that was born on August 26, 2011 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
At the time, different sectors linked to the discipline described as very successful the decision to create the World Judo Federation to promote Traditional Judo under the motto of Judo for All, which has allowed the integration of several national organizations, including the Dominican Judo Confederation, Condojudo, which today make up what many call the democratic judo world.
On August 26, 2011, Sweden, Spain, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Australia, the United States, Brazil and Chile, among others, were the founding countries of this new world judo organization whose essential principles corresponded to the diffusion of Traditional Judo as we have already said under the motto of Judo for All.
Today we are celebrating the thirteenth anniversary of the founding of the World Judo Federation, overcoming very difficult times under constant attacks on our programs and performances by other entities of the discipline that was founded in 1882 by the great Japanese philanthropist Jigoro Kano, 1860 – 1938.
The World Judo Federation has held various highly relevant events in Brazil, the Dominican Republic, England, Greece, Bulgaria, Italy, among other countries.
For all this and much more, this August 26, 2024 we celebrate the XIII World Judo Day where the affiliated national organizations, making the indicated date their own, carry out competitive exchanges, refereeing and training clinics, painting contests, poster exhibitions, walks, degree exams, talks to attract new practitioners, recognition of different personalities, in short, varied activities according to their respective facilities.
The World Judo Federation is a member of the Association International for Sports for All known by the acronym Tafisa, an entity recognized by the International Olympic Committee and the International Committee of Martial Arts Games (IMGC), among others.
"Rejoicing on this World Judo Day in which Condojudo is fully integrated following the guidelines of our hierarchical entity, the World Judo Federation," said José Rafael Suarez Morales, president of the Dominican Judo Confederation, referring to this thirteenth anniversary of the founding of the World Judo Federation.
