ELMY POZO Y REYMOND JIMENEZ GANADORES DE MEDALLAS DE ORO EN LAS CATEGORIAS ABIERTAS DE LOS CAMPEONATOS NACIONALES DE JUDO
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- Elmy Miguelina Pozo Ramírez y José Reymond Jiménez resultaron ganadores de las medallas de oro de los Campeonatos Nacionales de Judo en las categorías abiertas en el evento que se desarrolló en el Centro Olímpico Juan Pablo Duarte de esta capital dominicana.
Ambos atletas de la difíciles categorías abiertas o libres de peso corresponden al judo de la provincia San José de Ocoa quienes demostraron ampliamente sus conocimientos técnicos, resistencia atlética, la táctica y estrategia de este noble arte marcial de instituyo en 1882 el filántropo japonés que respondía al nombre de Jigoro Kano.
Además de José Reymond Jiménez también fueron premiados Santiago Soriano con medalla de plata de la Provincia Ocoa y las preseas de bronce correspondieron a Gilber de León y Carlos García, ambos del judo sancristobalense.
Por otro lado en la división abierta femenina acompañaron a Elmy Miguelina Pozo Ramírez la destacada atleta azuana Whitney Pujols con la presea de plata y Darianly Contreras con el bronce representando la provincia de San José de Ocoa.
La actividad conto con la organización de la Confederación Dominicana de Judo (Condojudo) que preside el licenciado José Rafel Suarez Morales del evento donde participaron diferentes atletas en representación de las
asociaciones nacionales afiliadas a la entidad que tiene representación nacional.
El licenciado Suarez Morales estuvo acompañado de Percio Salvador Pujols Castillo y Juana Morban quienes son vicepresidente y secretaria de la entidad federada.
El arbitraje estuvo dirigido por Juana Morban y lo correspondiente al área deportiva por Fanny Ocasia Bello en el certamen atlético que contó con la presencia del ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez quien es el presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Judo (UPJ), entidad matriz del judo continental.

Both athletes in the difficult open or free weight categories correspond to judo from the province of San José de Ocoa who amply demonstrated their technical knowledge, athletic endurance, tactics and strategy of this 
noble martial art instituted in 1882 by the Japanese philanthropist who responded to the name of Jigoro Kano.
In addition to José Reymond Jiménez, Santiago Soriano was also awarded with a silver medal from the Ocoa Province and the bronze medals went to Gilber de León and Carlos García, both from San Cristobal judo.
On the other hand, in the open women's division, Elmy Miguelina Pozo Ramírez was accompanied by the outstanding Azuana athlete Whitney Pujols with the silver medal and Darianly Contreras with the bronze, representing the province of San 
José de Ocoa.
The activity was organized by the Dominican Judo Confederation (Condojudo) chaired by Mr. José Rafel Suarez Morales of the event where different athletes participated representing the national associations affiliated with the entity that has national representation.
Mr. Suarez Morales was accompanied by Percio Salvador Pujols Castillo and Juana Morban who are vice president and secretary of the federated entity.
The refereeing was directed by Juana Morban and the sports area was directed by Fanny Ocasia Bello in the athletic contest that was attended by engineer Jaime Casanova Martínez who is the president of the Pan American Judo Union (UPJ), parent entity of continental judo.
