CONDOJUDO Y EL DÍA INTERNACIONAL DEL DEPORTE PARA EL DESARROLLO Y LA PAZ
Santo Domingo, República Dominicana.- La Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) declaro el 6 de abril como el Día Internacional del Deporte para el Desarrollo y la Paz ya que la fecha conmemora la inauguración en 1896 de los primeros Juegos Olímpicos de la era moderna en Atenas (Grecia).
Se celebra desde 2013, usando el deporte como una herramienta para crear conciencia para el Desarrollo y la Paz en el mundo.
Actualmente las campañas del Día Internacional del Deporte para el Desarrollo y la Paz se centran en el documento “Agenda 2030” recientemente adoptada, donde se reconoce aún más el papel del deporte en el progreso social.
La Confederación Dominicana de Judo, Condojudo, participa año tras año de las actividades propias de este día importantizando la organización Peace and Sport la que lleva las acciones mas importantes en el mundo del deporte olímpico.
Peace and Sport esta presidida por su fundador el señor Joel Bouzou y la entidad tiene el patronage de su Alteza Real Alberto II de Monaco y el apoyo del Comité Olímpico Internacional, COI.
Para el 6 abril 2019 la Condojudo ha preparado una serie de actividades para esta celebración como son las caminatas, charlas, reuniones con los atletas y familiares para difundir la importancia de este día a nivel mundial.

It has been celebrated since 2013, using sport as a tool to create awareness for Development and Peace in the world.
Currently, the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace campaigns focus on the recently adopted "Agenda 2030" document, which further recognizes the role of sport in social progress.
The Dominican Judo Confederation, Condojudo, participates year after year in the activities of this day, making the Peace and Sport organization the one that takes the most important actions in the world of Olympic sport.
Peace and Sport is chaired by its founder Mr. Joel Bouzou and the entity has the patronage of His Royal Highness Albert II of Monaco and the support of the International Olympic Committee, IOC.
For April 6, 2019 the Condojudo has prepared a series of activities for this celebration such as walks, talks, meetings with athletes and family to spread the importance of this day worldwide.
