JAIME CASANOVA NOMINADO AL SALON DE LA FAMA DE LAS ARTES MARCIALES UNIFICADO DE LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS COMO "PIONERO DEL JUDO"
Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- El Salón de la Fama de las Artes Marciales Unificado de los Estados Unidos realizara su exaltación el próximo sábado 26 de marzo 2022 en la ciudad de New Jersey en los Estados Unidos.
Las federaciones de karate, judo, entre otras, exaltaran a la inmortalidad a atletas, entrenadores, árbitros, oficiales, colaboradores y dirigentes de varios países de todo el mundo.
Para nominar a Casanova Martínez los organizadores tuvieron muy en cuenta su accionar deportivo como atleta, entrenador, arbitro y dirigente tanto en su país como en panamérica y el mundo en sentido general.
La documentación que homologo su escogencia detalla su experiencia profesional ligada a la ingeniería industrial, diferentes posiciones en el ámbito federativo y olímpico, su presencia en seis (6) Juegos Olímpicos, igual cantidad de Juegos Panamericanos y Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, entre otros.
En su momento Casanova Martínez recibió la designación de "Padre del Judo Moderno en la Republica Dominicana" y la sede de la Federación Dominicana de Judo fue titulada como "Casa Nacional del Judo ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez".
Con frecuencia es invitado a dictar charlas sobre judo, kurash, jiu jitsu, entre otras, a la vez asesora tesis de grado sobre diferentes deportes a universitarios
El próximo 26 de marzo 2022 conoceremos de la actividad del Salón de la Fama de las Artes Marciales Unificado de los Estados Unidos y de la posible escogencia de Jaime Casanova Martínez.
JAIME CASANOVA NOMINATED TO UNITED STATES UNIFIED MARTIAL ARTS HALL OF FAME
Santo Domingo,
Dominican Republic.- The United States Unified Martial Arts Hall of Fame will
hold its exaltation next Saturday, March 26, 2022 in the city of New Jersey in
the United States.
On the occasion,
the Dominican Jaime Casanova Martínez has been nominated as "Pioneer of Judo" based on his more than 50 years dedicated to the promotion and
development of this discipline in the Dominican Republic, at the Pan-American
and world level.
"I started
the practice of judo in 1969 going through the different positions of athlete,
coach, referee, president of the National Federation, member of the National
Olympic Committee and several international judo and kurash organizations,
among others. He currently has the graduation of Eighth Dan", reads the
introduction to the United States Unified Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
The karate and
judo federations, among others, will exalt athletes, coaches, referees,
officials, collaborators and leaders from various countries around the world to
immortality.
To nominate
Casanova Martínez, the organizers took into account his sports activities as an
athlete, coach, referee and leader both in his country and in Pan-America and
the world in general.
The
documentation that validates your choice details your professional experience
linked to industrial engineering, different positions in the federative and
Olympic fields, your presence in six (6) Olympic Games, the same number of Pan
American Games and Central American and Caribbean Games, among others.
Among the
leading positions is the presidency of the Dominican Judo Federation
(Fedojudo), the vice-presidency of the International Judo Federation (IJF),
treasurer of the Dominican Olympic Committee (COD), president of the Panamerican Judo Union (PJU), vice-president of the Association of Panamerican
Confederations (Acodepa), among others.
At the time,
Casanova Martínez received the designation of "Father of Modern Judo in
the Dominican Republic" and the headquarters of the Dominican Judo
Federation was titled as "National House of Judo engineer Jaime Casanova
Martínez".
Within his
current activities, in addition to judo, he is part of the Executive Committee
of the International Kurash Association (IKA) as vice president and president
of the Panamerican Kurash Union (UPK), a discipline that has been founded in
the Dominican Republic and that governs a wide expansion in the entire American
continent.
He is frequently
invited to give talks on judo, kurash, jiu jitsu, among others, at the same
time he advises university students on different sports.
He currently
chairs the World Judo Federation (WJF) entity that he founded in 2011 and that
develops a wide and varied program of activities annually in the different
countries where the entity is present.
On March 26,
2022 we will learn about the activity of the United States Unified Martial Arts
Hall of Fame and the possible selection of Jaime Casanova Martínez.
