The opening ceremony of the 28th Winter Universiade is marked by one of the most extensive show programs in the history of modern Kazakhstan. Not only Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev, eminent persons, but also famous athletes, actors, Kazakhstan artists participated in the opening ceremony of Universiade 2017, BNews.kz correspondent reports.
The 28th Winter Universiade officially started in Almaty. Now let`s remember how it was. The beginning of the ceremony was followed by March of people in national Kazakh dress. Men rode a horse across Arena accompanied by their women in traditional suits.
Then Kazakh celebration custom – shashu was prepared for guests.
By the tradition at the beginning of the ceremony, Kazakhstan flag was brought. It was accompanied by officers of National Guard and children – winners of international contests which performed the anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The presentation of member countries became one of the colorful moments, each of which raised their flag.
Organizers tried to present the whole history of the country in one big show. For guests the dramatized historical and ethnic mystery during which the most important stages of development of Kazakhstan, about richness of our culture, variety of traditions and trades and about the people of our country was prepared. The half-hour dramatized representation was followed by change of scenery, elements with use of innovative technologies.
The place of performances - the central scene was decorated in a petal form - a symbol of life, wisdom and love.
Over 1,500 artists among whom there are circus gymnasts, acrobats, figure skaters, actors of theaters and many others participated in the opening ceremony for Arena guests.
Each performance had its sense and was devoted to every era of formation of independent Kazakhstan. Besides, the huge attention was paid to originality of each member country. So, dancing collectives performed dances of the different people.
Especially for performance of Universiade opening ceremony the famous Kazakhstan singer Dimash Kudaybergenov arrived from China. He sang the song in Italian together with the opera singer Zarina Altynbayeva.
Closer to end of the concert program the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed to audience who noted the quality of preparation to Universiade and wished good luck to each team.
The many thousands audience was addressed also by the president of FISU – Oleg Matitsyn.
The culmination of the evening was flame lighting of Universiade 2017. Thousands of people became witnesses of a grandiose show which took place on one of Universiade facilities – an ice arena Almaty Arena.
The Flame of Universiade 2017 was lit over a dome of Almaty Arena, and the oath on behalf of athletes about fair competition was brought by the Kazakhstan figure skater Ayza Imanbek, and athletes Vasily Podkorytov, Daniar Eleusinov, Adilet Davlumbayev, Dinara Sadvakasova, Ekaterina Aydova, Marian Urdabayeva took out a flag of the International Federation of student's sport under the anthem of FISU.
It should be noted, this event was waited by Kazakhstan citizens, volunteers, athletes, and especially residents of the southern capital during not one year.
Everyone could see opening of Universiade on TV, but many preferred to come to the ice arena to join history.
The opening ceremony came to the end in the deep evening. Before the ice arena Almaty Arena grandiose fireworks was hold. It should be noted in the run-up to the Universiade Almaty really changes. New sport centers, houses, roads, objects - all this will be used also after students` games.
