CHILE, BRASIL, URUGUAY Y REPÚBLICA DOMINICANA CELEBRAN EL X DÍA MUNDIAL DEL JUDO ESTE 26 DE AGOSTO 2020
CHILE, BRAZIL, URUGUAY AND DOMINICAN REPUBLIC CELEBRATE THE X WORLD JUDO DAY THIS

De esta manera la Federación Nacional de Judo de Chile (Fenajudo) la que es presidida por Elizabeth Thompsom, Liga Nacional de Judo (LNJ-Brasil) cuyo principal ejecutivo lo es el profesor Galileu Paiva, Asociacion Judokan de Uruguay presidida por el profesor Jose Soca Montero y la Confederación Dominicana de Judo (Condojudo) la que es regenteada por José Suarez distribuyeron diferentes resultados, fotos y toda clase de eventos para ceñirse a las medidas que nos impone la actual pandemia del covid-19.
También se ha sumado a esta décima celebración del Día Mundial del Judo la Confederación Suramericana de Judo (CSJ) que preside el ciudadano brasileño Luiz Pavani.
La fundación de la World Judo Federation (WJF) se produjo el 26 de agosto de 2011, entre las 17.00 y las 19.00 horas, en Niteroi-RJ, Brasil, se llevó a cabo el Congreso Constituyente que incluyó la aprobación del estatuto y la elección de su Primera Junta Directiva.
Los Miembros Nacionales Fundadores que estuvieron presentes o representados en el Congreso fueron: Argentina, Australia, Brasil, Bolivia, Chile, España, Estados Unidos, República Dominicana, Panamá, Rumania, Suecia y Venezuela.
El señor Jaime Casanova de la República Dominicana fue elegido Presidente; Paul Dubois de Brasil, Vicepresidente (América) y también Tesorero; Bruce Bethers de los Estados Unidos de América, Secretario General; Paul Hoglund de Suecia Vicepresidente (Europa); David Gordge Vicepresidente (Oceanía); José Manuel García de España, Director de Educación y Entrenamiento; Carlos Díaz de Venezuela, Director de Arbitraje y Alejandro Giuliano de Chile, Director Deportivo.
“Es una importante celebración que realizan estos países de América para recordar la fecha del 26 de agosto 2011 donde se inicio un nuevo camino en la practica y enseñanzas del judo tradicional bajo el lema de JUDO PARA TODOS”, dijo Jaime Casanova en su condición de presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Judo y de la World Judo Federation.

The National Federations affiliated to the Panamerican Judo Union of Chile, Brazil, Uruguay and the Dominican Republic recalled different participations in past events on this World Judo Day that is celebrated every August 26.
In this way, the Chile National Judo Federation (Fenajudo) which is chaired by Elizabeth Thompsom, the National Judo League (LNJ-Brazil) whose main executive is Professor Galileu Paiva and the Dominican Judo Confederation (Condojudo) which It is run by José Suarez, they distributed different results, photos and all kinds of events to adhere to the measures imposed by the current covid-19 pandemic.
The South American Judo Confederation (CSJ) chaired by the Brazilian citizen Luiz Pavani has also joined this tenth celebration of World Judo Day.
The foundation of the World Judo Federation (WJF) took place on August 26, 2011, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., in Niteroi-RJ, Brazil, the Constituent Congress was held that included the approval of the statute and the election of its First Board of Directors.
The Founding National Members who were present or represented at the Congress were: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Spain, the United States, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Romania, Sweden and Venezuela.
Mr. Jaime Casanova of the Dominican Republic was elected President; Paul Dubois from Brazil, Vice President (America) and also Treasurer; Bruce Bethers of the United States of America, Secretary General; Paul Hoglund from Sweden Vice President (Europe); David Gordge Vice President (Oceania); José Manuel García from Spain, Director of Education and Training; Carlos Díaz from Venezuela, Director of Refereeing and Alejandro Giuliano from Chile, Sports Director. 
"It is an important celebration that these countries of America carry out to remember the date of August 26, 2011 where a new path began in the practice and teachings of traditional judo under the motto of JUDO FOR ALL," said Jaime Casanova in his capacity as President of the Pan American Judo Union and the World Judo Federation.
