Zingano (9-0) is as tough as they come both mentally and physically, and many believed she would have an advantage in the striking department and with her strength. However, Zingano would have to find a way to avoid the slow starts she has had in previous outings.
Rousey (10-0), on the other hand, is as dominant of a fighter as we have seen in mixed martial arts and she has shown very few signs of weakness.
Would rousey finally meet her match on Saturday night? Only time would tell and we got our answer when the cage door closed.
Play-by-play of the bout below:
Round 1: Zingano came out with a flying knee, and that was a big mistake. Ronda Rousey quickly transitioned and ended up in top position, where she grabbed a hold of Zingano’s arm and scored the submission win. Just. Like. That. Ronda Rousey is still the champ.
