INDEPENDENCIA NACIONAL

Santo Domingo, Republica Dominicana.- Como cada 27 de febrero celebramos la Independencia Nacional esta vez en el 180 Aniversario donde los Padres de la Patria nos legaron el nacimiento de la Republica Dominicana aquel ya lejano 27 de febrero 1844.

Duarte, Sánchez y Mella, Padres de la Patria, gestaron la declaración de la separación de nuestra parte de habla hispana de la isla de la de habla francesa, Haití, en un hecho ocurrido en la Puerta de la Misericordia con el trabucazo de Matías Ramon Mella, la noche del 27 de febrero del 1844 que finalizaron 22 años de ocupación haitiana.

En esa fecha fue levantada la enseña tricolor en la Puerta del Conde por Francisco del Rosario Sánchez en acciones realizadas bajo los ideales de Juan Pablo Duarte que estuvieron precedidas por la fundación de la Trinitaria.

Ante esta efeméride la Confederación Dominicana de Judo, su Comité Ejecutivo en pleno, Cuerpo Técnico, Asociaciones y relacionados a este arte deportivo se unen a las celebraciones de este 180 Aniversario de la Independencia Nacional de la Republica Dominicana,

Loor a nuestros Padres de la Patria; Duarte, Sánchez y Mella.

DOMINICAN JUDO CONFEDERATION ACTIVE ON NATIONAL INDEPENDENCE  DAY

Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- Like every February 27, we celebrate National Independence, this time on the 180th Anniversary where the Founding Fathers bequeathed us the birth of the Dominican Republic on that already distant February 27, 1844.

Duarte, Sánchez and Mella, Fathers of the Nation, created the declaration of the separation of our Spanish-speaking part of the island from the French-speaking part, Haiti, in an event that occurred at the Puerta de la Misericordia with the blunderbuss of Matías Ramon Mella, the night of February 27, 1844, which ended 22 years of Haitian occupation.

On that date the tricolor flag was raised at the Puerta del Conde by Francisco del Rosario Sánchez in actions carried out under the ideals of Juan Pablo Duarte that were preceded by the founding of the Trinitaria.

Given this anniversary, the Dominican Judo Confederation, its full Executive Committee, Technical Body, Associations and those related to this sporting art join the celebrations of this 180th Anniversary of the National Independence of the Dominican Republic,

Praise to our Fathers of the Nation; Duarte, Sánchez and Mella.
