“Mi futuro, tu futuro, nuestro futuro”

San Pedro de Macorís, Republica Dominicana. Fue celebrado el Campeonato de Judo por La Paz, este sábado 24 de septiembre, en el local donde funciona la Asociación de Judo Inclusivo de la Republica Dominicana, El Centro Juvenil Barrial, en la calle Carmen Natalia, del sector El Silencio de San Pedro de Macorís, en la Republica Dominicana.

La actividad deportiva que reunió numerosos atletas, practicantes y amantes de este deporte de artes marciales, se desarrolló de manera satisfactoria con el entusiasmo de los niños y jóvenes que se dieron cita en esta contienda deportiva, realizada para celebrar y promover uno de los temas escogidos para la Semana de Acción Global en pro de los ODS, #ACT4SDGs,” Por una Paz duradera”.

Y es que el deporte es un instrumento esencial en el proceso de fomentar la paz entre las naciones, creando sentimientos de hermandad y solidaridad humana, propicias para el desarrollo de una paz duradera.
Entre los presentes estuvo, el ingeniero Jaime Casanova Martínez, presidente de la Unión Panamericana de Judo y de la Unión Panamericana de Kurash, el entrenador Manuel Guerrero, el también ingeniero Cristian Romero, entrenador de Judo local y otras personalidades presentes.

El festival de Artes: “Mi futuro, tu futuro, nuestro futuro”, un evento cultural que promueve la Semana Global para tomar acción en pro de los Objetivos de desarrollo sostenible ha venido celebrándose desde el año 2015, primero de manera virtual y en los últimos años de manera presencial, utiliza el arte y la cultura para promover la semana de acción global.

Juan Barcelo, un artista plástico, gestor cultural y dirigente deportivo, de esta ciudad llamada “de los bellos atardeces, San Pedro de Macorís, ubicada en la región oriental del país ha sido el anfitrión y creador de este festival, al cual aspira seguir desarrollando anualmente, como parte de la agenda 2030.

Los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible u ODS consisten en un conjunto de 17 objetivos destinados a perseguir la igualdad entre las personas, proteger el planeta y asegurar la prosperidad sin dejar a nadie atrás.

Estos objetivos los firmaron un total de 193 países en 2015, asegurando su cumplimiento para el año 2030.

Se recogen dentro de la Agenda 2030 y los países firmantes se comprometieron a cumplirlos tomando acción con una serie de metas establecidas.

La Semana Global para tomar acción en pro de los objetivos sostenibles es una plataforma para promover, este hito histórico que representa la eliminación de la pobreza mundial y que crea un sentimiento de inclusión humana en todos los proyectos de desarrollo social, al comprometerse por respaldar los derechos humanos de todos, al “no dejar nadie atrás” y está formada por instituciones y personas de todo el mundo.
