What's up in 2021?

2021 Will be a Historic Year for Sport for All!  Featuring global events, new projects and historic moments, 2021 will be a year full of Sport for All milestones, bringing the global Sport for All Movement together to face current challenges, and using sport as a tool to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals and create a better world, in the spirit of TAFISA Mission 2030.  The 7th TAFISA World Sport for All Games in Lisbon, Portugal (18-24 June 2021) promise to be an exceptional event. The Games, under the patronage of IOC, UNESCO, ICSSPE and co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, will see over 100 delegations from as many countries present Traditional Sports and Games from all around the world in a friendly, inclusive and inspiring festival promoting cultural exchanges and mutual understanding. We hope to see you there! Save the date and join us along with over 500 delegates from 80 countries at the 27th TAFISA World Congress in Portorož, Slovenia, on 6-10 October 2021. The main platform for the Global Sport for All Movement to meet, connect, share experience and knowledge; this historic Congress will also welcome all participants to celebrate TAFISA's 30th Birthday! TAFISA was indeed founded in 1991, in Bordeaux, and throughout 2021 we will look back and reflect on all that has been accomplished in Sport for All since then and how it connects to our work today.

On 3 October 2021 at 10am local time, we invite you to walk, cycle, skate, canoe, run... be active and pass the baton for TAFISA World Walking Day - 24 Hours Around the Globe! Last year, tens of thousands of people from 63 countries across all continents passed the baton from east to west in the most accessible and inclusive 24-hour relay. If you've missed it, this is how it went: TAFISA World Walking Day 2020 - 24 Hours Around the Globe. Spread the word and invite your colleagues, friends and community to join the event in 2021! This year will also see the launch of a new project co-funded by the Earsmus+ programme of the European Commission. The INTERACT project aims to gather International and European Sport Organisations (IESOs) and develop a new delivery system that places participation in Sport for All and physical activity at its core. This year will provide many more opportunities to be an active part of the Global Sport for All Movement. El séptimo TAFISA World Sport for All Games en Lisboa, Portugal (18-24 de junio de 2021) promete ser un evento excepcional.
