VI DIA MUNDIAL DEL JUDO - 26 AGOSTO
El 26 de agosto 2011 es la fecha de la fundación de la World Judo Federation en Río de Janeiro, Brasil con lo que se inicio un nuevo orden en el judo mundial.
En ese momento fueron electos Jaime Casanova representando a la República Dominicana como presidente de la World Judo Federation, Paulo Dubois representando Brasil fue electo como vicepresidente (América) y tesorero, el doctor Paul G. Hoglund representando a Suecia fue electo como primer vicepresidente (Europa), David Gordge representando a Australia fue electo como vicepresidente (Oceanía), Alejandro Giuliano representando a Chile fue electo como Director Deportivo, Carlos Diaz representando a Venezuela fue electo como Director de Arbitraje y Jose Manuel Garcia Garcia representando a España fue electo Director de Educación y Entrenadores.
Después de esa elección se integró el profesor Alfredo Vismara como Director Técnico Deportivo y David Gordge fue designado nuevo tesorero, así mismo, Ivan Zavetchanos es el nuevo Secretario General.
Luego de la elección el Comité Ejecutivo designó cada 26 de agosto como Día Mundial del Judo a ser celebrado en los países de los diferentes continentes miembros de la WJF con torneos, charlas, exposiciones fotográficas, seminarios, etc.
De esta manera Brasil, Argentina, Suecia, República Dominicana, Australia, Chile, Italia, Rumanía, Inglaterra, Grecia, India, etc., se han unido a la conmemoración bajo el lema del maestro Jigoro Kano de; "Amistad y Prosperidad Mutua" en el Judo Para Todos.-

6TH WORLD JUDO DAY - 26TH AUGUST
August 26, 2011 is the date of the founding of the World Judo Federation in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil with which a new order in the world judo began.
At that time they were elected Mr. Jaime Casanova representing the Dominican Republic was elected President of the World Judo Federation, Mr. Paul Dubois representing Brazil was elected the Vice-President (America) and also the Treasurer, Mr. Bruce Bethers representing the United States was elected the General Secretary, Dr. Paul Hoglund representing Sweden was elected first Vice-President (Europe), Mr. David Gordge was elected Vice-President (Oceania), Mr. Alejandro Giuliano representing Chile was elected Sport Director , Mr. Carlos Diaz representing Venezuela was elected Referee Director and Mr. Jose Manuel Garcia representing Spain was elected Education and Coaching Director.
After that election, Prof. Alfredo Vismara joined the Sports Technical Director and David Gordge was appointed a new treasurer and Ivan Zavetchanos is new General Secretary.
After the election, the Executive Committee designated every August 26th the World Judo Day to be held in the countries of the different continents members of the WJF with tournaments, talks, photo exhibitions, seminars, etc.
In this way Brazil, Argentina, Sweden, Dominican Republic, Australia, Chile, Italia, Rumania, England, Greece, India, etc., have joined the commemoration under the motto of the master Jigoro Kano de; "Friendship and Mutual Prosperity" in Judo For All.-
