Ceremony of Kindling Torch of 


6th Int'l Martial Arts Games Held

Pyongyang, North Korea.- The torch kindled at the flame holder of the games in Chongchun Street will kindle the flame holder of the opening ceremony of the 6th International Martial Games to be held in India in December this year.
Present there were Kim Myong Gun, representative of the International Martial Arts Games Committee, Ri Yong Son, president of the International Taekwon-Do Federation, Kim Kyong Ho, chairman of the Korean Taekwon-Do Committee, officials concerned, martial arts players, working people and school youth and children in the city.
Present there were Rajendran Balan, president of the Indian National Martial Art Games Federation who doubles as chairman of the organizing committee of the 6th International Martial Arts Games, Paul G. Hoglund, first vice-president of the World Judo Federation, Low Thiow Tong, representative of the Australia National Martial Art Games Committee, Li Zonglin, chief director of the International Martial Art Fund, foreign diplomatic envoys here, officials concerned of martial arts of different countries.
Speakers said that the games will mark an important occasion in boosting the unity and cooperation among martial arts organizations of different countries of the world.
Kim Myong Gun handed torchlight to be sent to the games to torch holders.
They ran along Chongchun Street, holding the torchlight.
